The Chapel of Peace Mausoleum

Chapel of Peace

Within the Garden of Lord's Last Supper there is a mausoleum
named the Chapel of Peace.
Mausoleums are meant for those who would prefer not to be buried in the ground. The front section facing the roadside is designed for full size caskets while the opposite side is made for cremation niches. The Chapel of Peace has 4 levels with a total of (blank) spaces. Atop the Chapel of Peace is a stained glass image of Jesus which overlooks the mausoleum and entire garden.

Many people believe that a mausoleum space is too expensive however a mausoleum burial is very comparable to a traditional ground burial.
Once introduced, the mausoleum became very popular and now only limited spaces remain.

Later a much smaller semi private mausoleum was constructed between the gardens of Conewago and Devotion and it sold out quickly.

Another option when choosing an above ground burial is a private mausoleum. Private mausoleums are ideal when you want to establish a unique family estate. A private mausoleum is available in many different styles for nearly any number of occupants and can be customized to suit your needs and tastes. Pictured above is just a couple of styles to choose from.

Pictured here is an example of a private mausoleum located at the curve on the hill leading into Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.
It is the resting spot for Charles and Mary Knipe and is proud tribute to their lives.
